Gleeson Constructors, Inc. started with a 250,000 s.f. existing kill plant that was sitting empty for thirteen years in Oakland, Iowa and in nine months, completed the 200,000 s.f. remodeling project. Oakland Food, LLC was also producing sausage patties and round bacon at the end of that 9 month period.

The 200,000 s.f. remodeled area was a Design/Build effort between Gleeson Constructors, Inc. and OSI Industries, Inc. The key feature of this facility was the flow of product through the existing multistory production facility and design of new utilities for future expansion for additional product lines. Design included mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, structural and architectural disciplines.
