Gleeson Constructors was chosen for design and construction to demolish and remodel 23,000 square feet of packaging, cooling, cooking, and formulation areas. All work was completed around plant operations. Pre-planning of food safety during construction was paramount.
Work included general mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration. New structural for roof to make-up air was a large task, spanning the length of the existing roof, and creating a second level for mechanical equipment. The refrigeration make-up air was added and room coils were removed for food safety.
The room walls, ceiling, and floor were upgraded to metal panels for wash down, stainless steel drains and new polyurethane floors improved sanitation.
