Snack Meats Expansion
ConAgra Foods awarded a contract to Gleeson for it’s Project Edge expansion project in Troy, Ohio. This project consists of 83,000sf of new processing facility adjacent to the existing facility in Troy. It will be a operation manufacturing small stick Slim Jim’s for ConAgra retail sales. These items are sold in 4 to 100 count containers.
The project includes new boiler, electrical and ammonia refrigeration services, as well as employee amenities. This project includes 40° meat processing and stuffing, twelve smokehouses, four primary and four secondary packaging lines.
Gleeson was responsible for a “turn-key” delivery, including all design aspects around ConAgra’s layout and furnished equipment.
Gleeson’s Scope included all of the building and utilities, equipment rigging and installation, as well as start-up support.
