Gleeson Constructors, Inc. started with a green field in Petersburg, Virginia and, eight months later, completed a state-of-the-art Hamburger Processing Plant for Diversity Foods.
This 104,000 square foot facility was designed in-house by Gleeson Constructors, Inc. and Diversity Foods. The key feature of this facility is the totally automated computer control for mixing, grinding and packaging of hamburger patties and chubs for Burger King and other customers. A –60° F freezing system is used to improve product quality and reduce shrinkage. This plant will produce two million pounds of hamburger per week.
